you sure they're not in the way? to me, all the moving needles down below would probably put me off my driving, so i'd personally stick to a cleaner space in there
there are cappo dash specific mounting cups you can get online, that flow with the top of the dash? |

Hmmm i am with ggutnik on this one, I would say there is too many things in the way If i had my way i would just put a boost gauge on the drivers side A piller, and the rest maybe on the instrument panel
I do like the boot lid though! I am planning to order a rollbar too, it'll look awesome when the tops down |

I agree with ggutnik and Kayfour on this on too. The pods look a little messy. But it's all down to how you like it. You're the one driving it really. great job again sneaza! |

I'm not sure why everyone avoids the placement of the gauges as i have in mine, i can see them so so clearly, and they dont get in the way at all

it should be your preference.....
if you decorated your house you didn't put pics on the forum? Why? cus it's ur house! Just because this is a forum doesn't mean that you go with what people say...it's showing us ur individual style. We just offer an alternative opinion lol
I like what you have done to your car anyway mate.

alright, finally got my hands into making the gauge holder. i didnt have a perfect 42mm mould so i had to use a 40mm pvc pipe and extend the circle a little.
dont know about you guys but im quite happy with it
also filled in the gaps with foam fillers (in the background) to make it more sturdy
gonna give it a nice shape and then glass it, sand it, some putty and paint and wallah! |

So i have these gauges sitting on the steering column for almost 2 years now... finally had the time (over the christmas break) to position the sensors and illuminate them gauges.
Had a drive around for 2 weeks and something went wrong with my speedo meter (erratic needle movement - will discuss in another thread). I attempted to take the speedometer out without having to move the gauges. Needless to say it wasn't gonna happen. So, to avoid unnecessary rage/frustration in the future, i decided to re-home my gauges. So this is their new home now..
I figured i dont use the glovebox much anyways, so relocated the headunit into my glovebox . I lengthen the cappies original radio wires by about 20cm so it could reach into the glove box. Will get some pictures of further progress tonight .
quite happy with the current results tbh.

Looks really nice ! I especially like the trunk, selfmade or imported?
About the gauges, I think you can put something in front of the water temp gauge, as it registers no overheating anyway |

Finally got the gauge mount completed last weekend. Used plastidip to give it a rubbery look . I have to say that thing feels weird.
I noticed my oil pressure is off the charts. i will have to reset the needle when i get the chance.
