Fibreglass applied to required area and thickness,Shaped and trimmed, MDF Ring attached to suit either 6' or 6 1/2" speaker....Co-axial (2-3way) Speakers are Shallow, but there is enough room for my Peerless which have a Huge Basket and Magnet behind, so Clearance is no issue..... |

As said, Clearance no issue. These will sit where you see them, still giving access to Centre of Parcel Shelf for some storage as required.... |

Congrats Justin
Great work as usual Dave! I can highly recommend your work to anyone! (made my sub box)
6by9's are a compromise for good sound, if you are lacking bass get a small sub or a prefab under seat sub enclosure like a lot of the peeps here - much better sound |

NO.....Way to big and that's not including the depth of the Magnet/Basket....Also just didn't look right.
A GOOD set of 6 or 6 1/2" Midbass would work perfectly.....as I said, My 6 1/2" Peerless fit no probs....and these sound amazing compared to the Sony.
Thanx for the Sales pitch CG, Appreciated.
I could angle the speaker ring slightly for effect...Aim it toward each Headrest, but this would intrude slightly into Centre Section....Choice up to Customer really...... |

You are probably wondering why I havent posted yet, but I as usual have been out the bush doing the usual and have just sobered up enough to tope in te cmptr.
Dave , just fantastic mate they look really good how do I say thenk you?
If anyone is wondering this is me thanking Sneaza for me doing him one small favour so if all cappo owners do the same we are all laughing.
I have done a million mesurements and you cant fit 6x9 speakers but as Sneaza said the enclosures could be angled but that may restrict the space for the type of speaker you install.
About the price though mate, have you calculated in my commission? |

they look decent.. mate!!!!!!! Bloody hell you're good...I've got this weird idea imn my head that you're a wacky guy! ha ha And you have made all sorts of stuff out of FG ha ha. I dont know where I'm going with this. lol
but anyway.. I think your work is class!!! So precise and well thought out. Are they lightweight or pretty heavy?? whats the weight?? How do they sound next? You gonna get some pics of them in the car? From different angles???
Keep up the good work... lord! |

So many questions, pause for breath...lol. Thanx for the praise Lord...Wacky, nah, English......
Ok, they weigh in at approx. 1.2kg. for the PAIR..... No idea how they sound, we'll have to wait for Grant to install them and give his verdict, although it will depend on the TYPE of speaker you use.....eg: Mid Bass will ultimately sound Fatter/Punchier than Co-Axial (2/3way).
The Volume of the enclosure is more than adequate for a 6" speaker and will have Polyester Fibre wadding (Dacron I think it's called...Pillow stuffing), which gives the feel of an enclosure Twice the size, so should sound BIG.....similar to my Sub Enclosures.
Pics in the car, again, Grant will have to do the Honours as My Sub enclosure is a PERMENANT fixture in Sneaza (for now) and the Red One, has NO INTERIOR at this point in time, Hope that helps..... |

I will post pic's when they are fitted.
I plan to fit a set of Responce 6 1/2 inch kevlar 2 way speakers with dome tweeters which I already have. Do you think I should line the rear & sides of the enclosure with that sound deadening mat/stuff also? (CG) |

Should sound sweeeetttt......A square of Dynamat or similar would help, but the Filling I put in will also help, so make sure you put it back in once you attach them and BEFORE you put the spaeker in....lol |
