...Okay, so I got bored last weekend.

I couldn't summon the energy to drag the welder out to resume the welding on the Lada, and despite having a thousand and one things to do, I was finding that I really couldn't face any of them...sooooo did something completely and totally pointless and unrelated to anything!

My partner was the one who actually suggested this, about six months ago.  So I did some experimenting.  The image below shows the result.

While everyone will obviously have their own views on it, I think it looks pretty good.  What took me by far the longest was deciding on the aspect ratio of the stripes and their spacing.  The actual measuring up, cutting and application really didn't take all that long relatively.

Won't be putting anything on the roof or the front bumper - not so sure about how I'll tackle the bootlid - will probably give it a shot and see how it looks.  If it doesn't work I can always take it off again.

Just a silly little project which I thought I'd share.

Here we go.  Did the back as well a couple of weekends ago.  Also have done some work on getting some of the rust treated.  Some more photos will follow later in the year once the weather gets more predictable.

EDIT: Original image was too big - resized one uploaded.
