Got these for the Cappo:

They are a little heavier than stock but they have a nice deep dish.

14" diameter and 7" wide.

Here is a quick picture of how they look:

Im back with another cappo.  Missed it too much.  Just got this delivered yesterday:

Anyway the fuel pump was shot so I replaced it for one out of a civic EG 1.6 esi, (same part numbers).
The floor pan on drivers side is totally shot, I've stripped it down ready for welding.  It has had new rear arches fitted along with a full paint job in metallic blue which I will be soon changing.

I am on the look out for some nice wheels for it, mechanically it seems spot on, but I am going to change all the fluids, plugs and a full once going over.

I have plenty of spares if anyone needs some as I got literally another cappo in bits.

This cappo was on twice. It sold for about 780 and i reckon they didn't turn up. It looks clean but i suspect it's hiding a few rusty beats underneath somewhere. However if anyone know's how to resurrect a cappo it's kingpow. ha ha

Get some more pics up.

Thanks guys.

It's gone in for surgery,  it's had some repair in the past on the passenger side,  but the drivers is totally shot.  This time it's getting everything done properly.  It's hopefully going to be for keeps this one,  and I intend to do an engine sea in the future,  Half-9 (Hamza) his car gives me more inspiration every time I see it.
I'm getting some wide arches for it and fit them before I paint it.  Some nice 15'' deep dish rims with low offset.

Engine wise I am going t see what options s I have.  Might do something totally different with this one...

What about a supercharger feeding a turbocharger on a bored out and built 798cc block?

There's a bloke called Ronin who super and turbo charged a lotus Elise, making 6-700bhp from a 1600cc block. He claims there's no turbo lag as the supercharger keeps the turbo on the boil.

Oh, twincharging. That would be pretty complicated to do (space and managing the compound charging system mainly I think), but totally awesome.

I did some diggin' a while ago and came to the conclusion that this supercharger might be a good choice :

Okay, so the cappo is almost done, I had a fair of welding to do underneath and below the seat belt towers.  Its all done and should last for a good few years to come.  Been fully under sealed after half a day of wire brushing.

Pics

My new choice of wheels

I have a bit more to do yet before its done, looking for a front lip and some mud flaps.

The wide arches are coming... lol, these wheels have a -7 offset and stick out a fair bit.  I have an exhaust system on order, and a few other bits. Hopefully should be done within a month.

Well i'm in two minds as to which arches to go for, either way the arches will need cutting.
I actually bought the wheels after the paint job, my intention wasn't to go for such a low offset.  It should be okay though, all the work is being done in house so labour cost is nothing this time. Its part of the fun lol.

Yes roof colour is the same.
I'm in the process of making a front lip,  modifying one from my integra.

What size wheels do you have?  And what size tyres are you using?  On me the front seemed to stick out just over 3 inches from the edge of wing.  Not checked the back.

The front lip is in progress, it was a Mugen carbon fibre lip which had previously been damaged. Cut it down to size and the prep work begins...

Today I finished the rub down on the lip, tomorrow it will be ready for primer and paint.  Waiting on the wide arches to arrive, decided to chop the wings and rear quarters to have the arches fit properly.

Finished painting the front lip, just need to lacquer it and fit it to bumper.  Also test fitted the wheels, will be fitting arches on this week.
The engine bay has also been painted.
I also hydrodipped the spark plug cover in carbon effect.  I can do hydrodipping if anyone wants any parts doing.

I have ordered some new mesh for front and rear bumpers.

Going to make a custom rear diffuser and strut braces soon.

No no, what I meant to ask is, is the grey you have used, "Grey Metallic 38B" as used on a standard Cappo roof?

Having seen more pics, I think not. Still looks good though.

No sorry it's not the same grey.  I have used the colour code from a Zonda.

Not really had time to do much on the cappo, but I test fitted the arches.  Looking to customise the door cards soon.

I am going to paint them same colour as car, soon.  Also going to try and make a rear diffuser, got an ART race exhaust to fit too.

Just bought an STI version 3, got rid of the MX5.  This is a nice clean well looked after example.

I think those arches are being mounted too low, especially the one some the back? Not sure from the pics though?

The arches on rear are in line with front if not slightly higher.  I think it's the picture angle that makes it look odd..  Coming off for painting today hopefully.

Made a little rear diffuser for the cappo.  Only temporary until I get some better material.
Also fitted a Gizzmo boost controller and open air filter and turned boost up to 1bar.

I'm going to attempt and make a rear duckbill spoiler and also put a vent in a spare bonnet I have to make it look a bit more aggressive.

Something similar to this:
