Hi mate.
I'm interested in your build here!

Do you know what gearbox the car is using?
I'm from Sydney and very keen to complete this conversion myself!

Funnily enough, I'm actually using the Toyoshima Craft kit as well.  I believe it is by far the best looking kit currently on the market!

Would you happen to know if the 660 engineering front strut brace fits over top of the 1.3?

I look forward to all your updates!  I should get on and start a thread of my own for my build too!

Hi the gearbox is from a Jimny. I don't think the 660 brace fits over the 1300, but as I havent fitted one I can't tell for sure. The car is going to the tuner this month, hope to have it road legal soon

Ok so the turbo needs adjustment, the brake I got was leaking..rescheduling for another month

I consider buying a cappuccino wreck to source the parts I need, then sell the remainder on eBay. People ask such ridiculous prices for old items, I should jump on board

available brake revision kits , you need both to fix 1 brake :

this should make the new turbo fit

everything is stalled just because of the DVLA, they needs 6 weeks to send me a ownership certificate replacement

first I had to send then 25 pounds in an envelope to their obvious address in UK, then after 4  weeks they admit that it never got to them. Gosh, who would have thought.
So now I could send a fax for free, which takes 4 6 weeks to digest through their bureaucracy.

The DVLA got back and sent me 2  copies of my registration, each a day apart.

So it's all down to registration with the Dutch RDW.

Here is an update.

I am selling the GTI Turbo cappuccino and found that too few people bother to buy a car that does not have a license plate. (can't blame them)

So  am still in process of legalizing.

Today GTI Turbo got a customized stainless exhaust,  with a race catalytic converter, and 2 smaller mufflers. This reduces sound and emissions, while maintaining power.

I love it

My investment paid off : The GTI Turbo got its hard earned Dutch road license today

It's got it's first MOT in 5 years too, now on all 4 cylinders. It also qualified for a special smaller license plate, to sustain optimal airflow to the cooling system

This is all totally WOW and I am looking forward to a summer of driving

Good weekend !
