thx, front end was second choice I wanted the A-Site front bumper but couldn't get hold of one, will change it as soon as I find one

headlight internals should be sprayed black, rear lights smoked too - the wing will be stuck on soon though - will definitely look a little OTT!

ok, a little update - Zcars are working out where to position the roll over bar.

Side note: I had bought a pair of Cappuccino Sport roll over bars, which I returned as after test fitting I couldn't push the seat back far enough to be comfortable and the back of my head easily made contact with the top of the bar. I returned them and unfortunately never received a refund.

The seats will be swapped  - 2 attachments show the head room gained from changing seats

Agreed long drives might get uncomfortable - will know soon enough as I'll be driving from Hull to London when I pick it up!! I'd rather be uncomfortable then smack the back of my head on a roll bar though!

The red bits represent lack of funds - I am all out - couldn't afford a bare metal re-spray - figured I'd leave this for another year

edging closer to completion,

looks ok to me, the seat will be fixed once I get to the car, the top edge of the seat looks like it might be a touch higher than the bar, but need to see it in person .

Two things.... did you flip the diff over so the prop runs nicely along the top of the tunnel, leaving room for the exhaust beneath it? (to do so you'll have to swap the diff core over and install it from the other side of the pinion)

.... and you may find it difficult, or impossible, to see over the hump on the dash if you move your seat low enough to try to make enough clearance between your head and your roll bar. That's why my car has no dash in it. Sat in the workshop it wasn't very apparent that I couldn't actually see where I was going....

Also, I'm not sure what steering wheel you're going to use but you'll probably find you need a smaller one so you can see over the top of it.

Looking good though otherwise.....

I've been following this build on facebook z cars page but the updates there are infrequent.
I'm glad I just found this build thread. Its a cracker of a build, well done mate.
I have a feeling this will be a very uncomfortable car though but surely a wild beast.

If your doing the hull to london run i presume you'l be lincoln then A1 most of the way?

If so i invite you to deviate a fraction at Huntingdon and come down the 1198 to stop of for a leg stretch / beer or more likely strong coffee, less boring than the motorway all the way and i'd love to see this car in person

CappoR - welcome to the forum!!

Kei - thanks I would love to! Slight change of plan though, I can't spare the time to get to Hull & back so the car is being delivered instead on Friday (hopefully)

Here is the dyno.....330bhp @ 9.3k rpm / 276Nm @ 7.7k rpm at 45psi - yikes!

I don't have any experience in reading these things, any thoughts???

I think its odd that the torque starts to tail off after 7.7k rpm - is that normal? Alos is it normal for the max bhp to arrive after the max torque rpm??

The bhp seems to climb smoothly, the stock cappo's max 64bhp is reached at around 4k rpm!! My old block was tuned to around 110bhp with some HKS goodies, this one rips through that at around 4.8k rpm!!!!

The block is built for 400bhp, so I am hoping it will be reliable at this level, the limiting factor is the rear diff, which has a max 270Nm, once I've broken it I will replace with something a little stronger.

Oh my, this is nuts !
330hp, you're going to the moon, dude

I don't think it's at 45psi of boost pressure, the graph says 190kpa (should be absolute pressure as it starts at 90kpa), that's 13psi of boost pressure, which is more reasonable and logical. And the comment says "45psi static fp", which might be for "fuel pressure".

I think you're right. The boost pressure isn't dropping at high rpm, so it's not because of a too small turbocharger which wouldn't be able to keep up with the airflow, so I'd say there's one or several things that limits the airflow somewhere. Could be anywhere between the intake and the end of the exhaust, so :
- intake
- piping to / from the turbo
- intercooler
- throttle body, intake plenum
- camshafts
- exhaust system

I don't know at all what needs to be upgraded when building a turbo 'busa engine, nor what's been done on yours, so that's just generic ideas.

I thought it would be rather amusing to overlay a dyno chart from a stock cappo (rated at 73HP) to compare the difference... Courtesy of Paolos ECU Shootout thread, here's a quick mockup.... (HP line at the top, Torque line at the bottom of the added chart)

I think I can spot a small improvement......

Out of interest how much has all this inc labour set you back.  I want to do an engine conversion to mine but I want to strip it right down and re start from ground up.

Hi may I this is fantastic!! This has been a project that I have been thinking of doing for a few years now and I have now got my own Cappo so hoping to do something similar (If money allows ).
Im impressed with the torque that you have got from the hayabusa as normally bike engines are quite low on torque in relation to power, but on yours they are close. It will drive like a beauty.

Peak torque always come before peak power as, power = torque * engine speed, and torque always drops off after it has reached peak torque so its perfectly normal.  There is nothing strange in your power and torque curves they look very smooth so it will pull nicely.

Nice job! Love it!!
