I got the car a year and a half ago at 36k miles, (now 50k). When I bought the car I spent about two months looking and went to view four cars all across the country (Devon, Kent, Birmingham-ish). It's worth trying a few cars to get an idea of how different they can be. I went for the one with the most power and the least rust 
I've been slowly modding it while keeping it pretty standard visually.
I started with a K&N filter and a manual boost controller and gauge - terrific power improvements for very little money, but I would prefer an electronic boost controller. Not long after that I got a secondhand stainless exhaust from fairfax - not sure what make but it sounds good and it improved the low end torque a bit (2-3k rpm).
Later on I added an N1 ecu (lots more torque!), a pair of under chassis braces from smart51 (they really tighten the car up, it felt much different with them on, and even altered the sound of it a bit).
Much more recently I added suzuki sport dampers (the white ones), and not long after that hit some unexpected ice and put it through a hedge. Thankfully the damage was only cosmetic and I've managed to get it back together again with parts from ClubCappo members

Thanks for the comments! Unfortunately I've still got to get some huge scratches out of the door and rear wing, but I'll get to those before too long.
Here's some pics from a trip round the Pyrenees last october, when the weather was really nice. I've driven all over Europe in other cars, but never the Pyrenees, so I did the full length of them from Atlantic to Mediterranean, zig-zagging in and out of France, Spain and Andorra. I think I did 12 national parks on the whole route (down via Les Landres and back via Millau). The cappuccino is a great touring car - lots of fun on mountain roads, brilliant fuel economy with it, and good visibility all round with the roof down. |
