So I sold my wide arched cappo earlier this year and took the plunge to buy one direct from Japan. After weeks of looking for one I finally found this red little beast. I had some very tasteful mods and luckily was in my price range (shocking to see how some cappos are like like £8k+).
So after 6 weeks in transit I took delivery of it. It was much better than I expected compared to the pictures. Took in for an MOT the following day and comfortably passed. Also, it was so refreshing to see the underside being like new.
Here is a quick spec list:
1992 Suzuki Cappuccino KYB shocks with Tanabe springs HKS cat bat exhaust HKS racing suction kit Take Off dump valve Monster Sport front upper brace Rear roll bar Competition discs and pads Braided brake hoses Achilles ATR-K Sport tyres Light weight Crank Pulley Pupa racing speedometer Oil catch can Blitz boost gauge Gizzmo boost controller Turbo Timer Razo pedals and gear knob PIAA carbon fibre wiper arms Intercooler hard pipes Full aero kit Mazda RX7 seats Silkroad head lights Elite SPL rear LED lights Bridgestone Down Hill Special Touge wheels
After taking it out for a quick run, the suspension set up feels awesome, seems just as quick as my track RS Mx5 around the corners. Fortunately I did not need to give it a service as everything was changed just before it was shipped over to me. However, I did change all the vacuum hoses and have a couple of bits to put on the cappo (sixsixty air box and a HKS dump valve). One issue I do have is that I cannot hear the dump valve working, it seems like i'm getting the wastegate chatter noise. No idea why its doing this, seems to hold boost fine at 1bar solid too.
Any way here are some pictures:
I'm hoping to get an N1 soon, and may be next year get a bigger turbo set up for it.
Thanks |

Rx7 seats? Didn't realize that they fit. Real carbon wiper arms or just prettied up? |

They are actually covers that go over the arms, and are made from actual carbon fibre. The seats are a perfect fit and much more comfortable than the cappo seats. |

Nice car, great spec list!
Which company did you buy it through? Been thinking of doing the same myself, but the yen's not looking so favourable now! |

I didn't use any company, I imported it directly myself, I just got in touch with a shipping company and clearing agent here in the UK to pay the fees to arrange the paper transfer. |
