Yeah, that price seems high considering the work it needs and the mileage. I paid £2500 for mine privately with just under 80k miles and almost totally rust-free (though the rear arches are going now). |

I was just really lucky with mine. It's not done 20,000 miles yet, has an LSD and ABS (although that has a problem at the moment) an airbag although that makes for a really unnatractive steering wheel so that's going provided the family have taken on all the hints about birthday presents!! ... Body is in excellent condition, the garage that sold it to me fitted new shocks, pads etc, tyres and various other bits n pieces and undersealed it properly after a steam clean.
The only drawback with Japanese versions is their wiring. As Andy knows I've just replaced the Kph speedo with an Mph one with the same mileage give or take a foot and I've been looking at putting in a proper UK rear fog light switch instead of the one the garage fitted. Unfortunately there is no relay fitted and I can't find the dim/dip thing that makes sure the fog light doesn't come on when the headlights are off..... So I assume they just weren't fitted although there is a spare female connector on the loom in the right place. So that's going to be an interesting wiring exercise when I get round to it..
Price ? Around £3.5k .... I think it was a bargain...

The dim/dip controller just doesn't exist on JDM cars. My silver one still has its though
And yes that was a bargain! |

Forgot to mention some friends and fans of my capp spotted the purple pearlescant (spelling) capp driving round Dulwich just over a week ago.
I showed them the pics on the capp sport site and they confirmed it is that one.

I assume you are taking offense to a pearlescent purple cap, I was actually thinking of going with that idea. Deep Purple on the outside, cream leather on the inside with purple trim. (Yes, I did get the inspiration from Cadbury's chocolates) |

Not so much taking offense to taking the pi**
That said I've always preferred "simple" colours for any car. It's a question of how easy it is to touch up scratches, chips etc. |

I think a deep purple would probably work and it would go well with the cream trim. BMW's Techno Violet is a lovely colour. |

Of course it's what you do. Well, I do when I see another Cappuccino. It's all part of the "I own a rare and distinguished automobile" persona. |

I like taking away the spotlight from mx5 owners at the lights - or anywhere really! Deep violet and a beige interior would work well together too I think |

Well Mr Paulo didn't admit it was him so does that mean there's a mystery Cappo floating round these parts - a red one has been seen several times. (cue dramatic crescendo!)

Not me, but there is another red Cappo in Gloucester, my old one in fact. I know the owner, Nice guy, even if he does choose to reside on the dark side. |

Jaik, I saw you on Sunday but not up at the Cat & Fiddle, you were coming out of Tesco car park- looked like some sort of meet- lots of other Mazda's etc? & saw a guy with his video camera out going up on the Cat & Fiddle road-was he with you? I was trying to get to Coombes to the Beehive pub for lunch but the road was closed, hence the big diversion! |

That'll have been the pistonheads meet. I'm guessing the guy with the camera was Spittinflames (Lee) from IMOC. He does great vids! |

Silver Capp on the M25 in Essex was possibly me - I was lurking in that area about that time but I'm easy to spot, my car has white Rays Wheels (Volk TE37's for those that care) and a Silver roof.
I did see an L reg Capp, passing through Crouch End (North London) on Sunday morning, anybody want to own up?? |

Yeah, pics of that would be great. Did you buy the TE37s new? If so, do you have shares in oil companies? Brilliant wheels. |

I bought them new-ish, a mate of a mate ordered them for his Swift but wrote it off before he could fit them - lucky me right place, right time to make an offer! I'll get some pics done over this Bank holiday and post them up.... |

I'm so excited!!
I've seen my second Cappo today. (Upto that point, mine is the only one I've ever seen, despite stories of others near me, that I've never spied).
Anyway, coming from Vines Cross (East Sussex), towards Heathfield at 7:15 pm, I saw a small, red M-reg car approaching. 'Looks strangely familiar', I thought.
Sure enough, some mad headlight flashing on both parts, confirmed it was another Cappo in Sussex. I've heard of a very smart one near me, but not seen it first hand yet, so perhaps this was the one. Didn't see who was driving, perhaps next time.
Anyway, I had a grin on all the way home: great to know there really is another one around locally . |

Can we take it you use that Canon rubbish then? They're normally the only people trying to score points of those of us who have taste in camera equipment!
Also... My brother's eldest saw a Cappo in the car park of Focus at Newark last week and dragged him over to see if it was us - it wasn't so the phantom Newark Cappo strikes again. |

It wasn't me!
And I've not seen another one this side of the A1, though there was a couple around Lincoln? (including the one for sale - could have been that one?)
Or it could have been the one belonging to that old gibba I met at the Shell garage at the A46/A52 roundabout near Bingham? His was red, that's all I know. |

Ah Olympus who gave us the OM10 which required an additional adaptor to give you manual shutter control, and even then the control was in an odd place.
I've still got my old Olympus XA though which served me very well at one time - sadly it hasn't seen any film in a few years.
The closest most of us will get to Olympus optical equipment nowadays is when a doctor inserts one somewhere you'd rather not think about. |

Picked up an old sheet film press camera the other day. |
