I've had an email from James at Practical Performance Car Magazine.  They need a standard, preferably red Cappo for a photoshoot.  Here is the message...

Quoted Text
We are running a buyers' guide on the Suzuki Cappuccino in our July 2012 issue of PPC Magazine (www.ppcmag.co.uk), and I am looking for a suitable car to use in a studio-based photoshoot to accompany the feature. The studio is in Derby and we are hoping to arrange the shoot for either Monday 14th or Tuesday 15th May, taking either a morning or an afternoon.

We are not too specific about the car, but a red example that is pretty clean and standard would be ideal. We would happily send on a copy of the studio photos to the owner as thanks.

Yes and Steve but unfortunately due to the short notice it doesn't look possible for either of them.

I'd volunteer my baby (M4 CAP) but I don't think she's up to the standard of the other Cappo's I have seen pictures of on this board.

On my way home from work this afternoon, she will have done 120k miles. Over half of which have been with me driving it over the last 3 years

High miles just shows the durability of the engine   James did say that as it is a studio based shoot there are tricks they can use to make cars look their best.

Thanks Matt!!  I think photoshop helped a bit

I also thought it was a good write up, probably the most in depth write-up the cappuccino has ever had in a UK magazine.  All positive stuff too, (except rust of course).  I went autotesting again tonight and there were a couple of people who had read it and commented, and it generated a fair bit of interest, particularly in the younger generation, many of whom had not heard of it.  Hopefully with this effect with readers across the country the value of cappos will hold up a bit.

Best I get is about 50mpg.

Also... it seemed to say that "F11" (sic) and "F111" kits generate about 120-150bhp.  I thought these were more like 111bhp.

Oh well, a little exaggeration like that won't do the cappo's image any harm I guess!

By the way, everyone should go autotesting, it's ****ing brilliant, and ****ing cheap!!!  It should be compulsory as part of the driving test!  Look up your local motor club, and get autotesting.  On grass autotesting in particular, the cappo is perfect.  I haven't seen the results of tonight's one yet but I'm pretty sure I got first in class (or at least very close to it), against a Westfield, a race prepped RS2000, and an MGB.  Sideways fun.
