So now that's done it was suspension time.
I pulled the front suspension out of KOF33 as it's getting upgraded at the same time with Suzuki Sport bushes, adjustable coilovers, slotted rotors, etc.
Had a bastard of a time removing one of the upper wishbone bolts (the ones that are about 2 foot long) but after a few hours and the usual brocken knuckles/swearing out it came with a bend in it.(Lower one in the pic)
No sir it wasnt me.

But how's this!
The painting has been going well lately as the rain has basically stopped and it's not so humid now.

Most of the panels are now painted and when I went to store the Bonnet as it wont be fitted until the motor goes in the good wife arrives on the scene and says "STOP"  "inside with that", so now it sits proudly on the spare Guest room bed.

I think I've nearly got her trained

LAT33 is alive!

Finally got the engine and gearbox in and started her up yesterday afternoon.
Now all I have to do is fit the front bumper, headlights, engine immobiliser/central locking system and the interior.

Its all prepared so X-Mas is looking good to have her on the road.

DISASTER

For years I have been cleaning and washing car parts in the driveway with a bucket of soapy water and so on the weekend I was cleaning all of the interior plastic bits for LAT33.

Wife (Blonde) was out but came home earlier than I thought and gues what? Yes she ran over some of it.

This is what happens when the entire rear parcel shelf platic mouldings (3 pieces) are run over with a large SUV like this one.

Luckily she missed the other parts like the centre console, etc.

Reverseing wasnt the problem, she drove straight over them!
Her excuse was that she was distracted by my physic as she drove in.

Now you can see why I made the emergency phone call on the weekend.

Yep, she is a keeper.
Rego shouldnt be a problem as LAT33 should clear her roadworthy inspection (MOT) with no worries at all after being rebuilt from a heap of boxes of parts.

Rego, all good. Neither the roadworthy check guy (MOT) or registration place even lifted the bonnet.
They looked at the car and said "If have you the VIN and engine number your passed".

So here she is all done up with a couple of red bows for chistmas day with the wife of course.
