Looking good Icevid!

Did I see you tonight driving away from Hal-Far? (By the runway) I was almost sure it was you. If so to bad, if I left a bit earlier we would have met there.

The track will be open on wednesday next week instead of thursday because of the festa. Will you be at the Brits&Japs car show on July 6? I was hoping to maybe get a spot for the Cappuccino's. Let me know mate

Yeah I saw you  as well. Was quite a coincidence since I was just cruising since I had the cappo out of the garage to fix the bumper which had come loose . I don't think I'd be able to make it on the 6th since I work afternoons

Also thought I'd check under the seat to check for any rust since it seems most people do find quite a bit there. Still looks pretty solid

And while doing so, also found some old currency

Small update. Decided to modify the front bumper a few weeks ago, the front was just too huge for the cappo so I cut some of it, patched everything and resprayed the patched up parts. Still have to polish it out and take a photo of the end result. Here it is getting some much needed love

The big engine mount at the bottom is ok I'm not sure about the other. There are more mounts at the back and everything is just spot welded in order to fit it properly. Everything still needs to come out again for reinforcement. Does look bigger than the original for sure although the intake will be mounted lower in order for the hood to clear and not have to cut vents in the bonnet.

What is the plan here?

Is the engine a 1000cc from a Suzuki GSXR?
Make sure the gearbox and rear diff line up as much as possible, otherwise your prop shaft will run at an angle which causes vibrations.

Zcars are still sorting out vibration issues with mine even now......

Good luck

Yep the 1000cc from an 04 GSXR1000. Thats what the mech is trying, the thing that might help is that there will be a reverse box splitting the prop shaft.

There has been some progress as the exhaust is nearly done just needs fitting in the car and its ready for wiring. Will hopefully take some pictures next time I'm there, can't wait to test it out

Snapped a photo of the exhaust manifold in place today. All the exhaust is almost done, drive shaft next thing to go in together with all the gear linkages. Then hopefully wiring and we will be able to start the engine

The engine is tilted and you don't have a dry sump kit, it's not good. to monitor when cornering
The gearbox control may be tough with the angle of the cable 90 °.
Not an easy conversion, forward to seeing a video

Actually the engine is dead straight, problem is that the sump I think is titlted from factory, probably the way its fitted on the bike. Will see if I'll have any problems and will see on the dry sump kit in the future, at the moment I can keep a good eye on the oil pressure.

I Don't think there are many easy conversions especially with bike engines on the cappo, but it's in one of the best garages in the country and should not be disappointed, hopefully it will be on the road by the end of the month or beginning of the year
