Guess someone is going to have to be the guinea pig! from those calculations, +22 is going to add an extra 3cm in poke from my rims atm

I hate Rota, so not gonna go there. Lots of Regamasters in 4x114.3 (and spoons ARE rebranded regamasters btw) so again, no need to change brakes/hubs. More of an issue if i can find the right set at the right price. Im not buying the rims for the style, more for the weight/cost
And ive been using willtheyfit for a while too +22 is fine if you get any of the over fenders i think, most of em are between 35-50mm wide

So after after spending too long over in the west, i got back to find this:
Oooo, i wonder what could be inside.... (Phone pictures fail, my bad)
Ignition Leads? Check.
Wheel Nuts? Check.
Wonder what this could be....
Wipers that actually Fit the car?! Check!
Fancy oil cap? Check! (It says monster sport on it... it must be special)
High Pressure rad cap? Why not!
Low temp thermo? check!
JDM sumplugs give you more power!
now to the more useful stuff
Dif mounts? Correct! Now all we need is a new diff
Engine mounts... Not going in too soon, but wont be long till something is being pulled out to be 'refurbished'
Sussy bushes... will be put in shortly due to the...
... new shocks that were inside the box! But you cant have shocks without...
... Springs! But wait, whats this?!
could it be? yep, coilovers ftw! But theres a problem....
I cant read japanese. Heres to hoping im not overlooking some intense warning messages by just going of the pictures lol.
had to do a little bit of hunting in the boxes to find the final two items!
Shiney badge!!!!! Not sure where im going to put this yet,but i have a couple of ideas!
Last piece of the puzzle!
Try and defect me now for no Hpattern you prick!
I've also got a fairly crazy amount of Monster Sport stickers lol

Yea i tried it before on a different car, took me a solid 10 hours (i did have to make my own press in the end). This time im just going to give it to a shop to do, unless i can be bothered making another press... time will tell

had some time over the weekend! Sadly, not nearly enough time but i did get something done atleast
From this:
to this:
And i also got a surprise when i got home today:
service parts!!!! Gonna hopefully get them all swapped over during this weekend as ive got a dyno day on the 17th. Will be interesting to see what the little guy pulls
Yummm, big fan of the long champs Nick. They sounds like they will fit similar to when I had the 7" +14 ssr mkIIIs. Alot of poke. Too much to camber in with standard arms/guards. I run (what I'm told is) 15x6.5 +38, 195 50 tyre, all round and with my BC coilovers wound all the way down in the rear and abit of a guard roll and pump and the bumper ground away abit, the rear is pretty much as flush as can be while still being functional. The front scrubbed at the top inside the wheel arch even with the ridges knocked flat and with the guard pumped a little I raised it a couple of cm so that the tyre is flush with the guard but doesn't scrub.
The rear is and looks lower but the car has a good stance and is completely functional aswell.
Moulded in flares are the goal eventually though.

The joys of trying to take off the crank bolt. Got it in the end with the above arangment
Regarding prices Ming, best to contact Jesse about that
That's an impressive "breaker bar", I've undone truck wheelnuts with smaller bars than that!!!

Yep, that crank bolt was on ridiculously tight. Having finally got the car to start again, I've decided I can't be bothered doing sussy bushes myself and will take the car to a shop
After that it's time to put the adaptronic back in, then drive the cappuccino for a while till I rebuild the CRX. Once the CRX is back to normal, diff and moar poweeeerr.
If only I had a job to finance any of this lol :<

The suzuki sport engine mounts are made of a slightly different material, or well thats what they claim anyway lol
I know people have made their own engine mounts with poly based stuff, so you should be fine if you did that

14x6.5 + 14 will be flush with flares with less aggressive ones well in theory anyway. Went to a mates place who is a wizard at offset and worked it out for me, so thats what I am aiming for with street wheels. +20 is prefect for track rims if your running semis to allow for the wider tyre.

Ive got a set of SSR type M's coming, 15x6.5+35 and theyre just under 5kg. Ill probably roll the lip on the fenders andput on some 165/55/15's. Little bit of stretch so i should be okay when i lower it. Will also probably get the powder coated black or same srot of gray as the roof.
One of the bigger things for me is the dual stud pattern means that if i dont like em, i can always put them on the crx a pic for reference:
Im also thinking about getting set of BBS LM's to match my mates car, but due to their price... gonna wait till after i get the cappo resprayed for that one

Also, in other news, I managed to screw up the timing when i did my belt. Power was WAAAAY down and it was just ugly to drive, but luckily... no valve/piston action
Anyway, took apart everything again and found this:
Got my mate to come down and after a few attempts we realised timing was going off while tensioning. In the end i aligned it one notch forward and after rotating the crank two times... everything was lined up perfectly
Drives like normal and everything, im a happy chappy

You know the trick is put it in gear get someone to stand on the brake so it can't rotate .
But glad is sorted and no piston/valve contact!!

Looks like the lips are of a very similar colour to the wheel nuts! Exciting times ahead

after a quick go with a shrink ray, got them to a nice size
Oh and for those that are interested, That is the lowest that monstersport coilovers go with 3 bump stop thingies
Ride is nice and firm, without being overly bouncy. Still haven't got a proper alignment though, so not much point doing a proper review of them

Riiiight think its time for an update on here!
First off, car is being used as my daily as the other car kinda broke on me... means i havent been able to put on all the new parts
To start where i left off! Rims in the boot and off to find myself some tires!
Tyres are 175/55/15's on 15x6.5+35 rims
better shot
unfortunately they do poke out the ever so slightly
which ended up scrubbing on some corners!
Ill admit that im not the biggest fan of the wheels when theyre just sitting there, but when theyre rolling... much better
After that i noticed it was coming towards summer time and that my numberplate was blocking a considerable amount of flow to the rad! Off with the old...
... and on with the, older? hahaha
Drove around like that for a while but then i wanted to see how low i *could* go. It was more or less undrivable this low and sadly ive lost the side pics and have only got front bumper shots...
A while after that i went to take off my roof, only to discover the pin that holds the latch to the roof fell out and has gone missing:
Rather than try to fix it, i did the only reasonable thing and drove around like this:
Had myself a little catchup with Danny at a dyno day
I went back to the stock ECU and managed to pull this off at the wheels. Green line is power curve and as the resolution of the graph is kinda crappy its hard to see the curve but it *seems* fairly linear. Had great fun with the run as i completely forgot about the 140km/h boost cut so ofcourse we tried to do the pulls in 4th gear and hit the wall hahahaha. Had t oredo the runs in third. Was happy to see the turbo held 12psi (top red line) flat for ages
Went back home and had a photo with the other little munchins:
Then another in a garden
Meanwhile, while all of this was going on, i was making this:
Which turned into this shocking thing:
For this little thing
And now we get to today! Some people out there have Santa, I have a bloke called Steve! Ooooo a box!
With lots of padding and stuff inside!
And the presents in all their glory!
And yea, now that im free from all my previous obligations (cough, unemployed graduate), i think it might be time to put all my parts on the cappo

Didnt hve much time, but i got the front brace and airbox on!
went for a drive, felt and sounded great Came home, and then....
I then went ahead and lost my idle. To be honest, it was never set up correctly in the first place and now ive done a bandaid fix by setting the idle effort to 100 on the adaptronic (for all water temps lol). Will hopefully have time to sort this out over the coming weeks
