Hi all, My car suffered a rear end shunt a few months ago. A van ran into the back of me when i was stopped at a zebra crossing. Putting some pics up of the damage and hopefully repairs
As you can see the back end is a bit on the flat side now. The rear panel has been pushed forward causing the spare wheel well to crease. The boot lip above the lights had bent up slightly along with the exhaust being bent back. Luckily no damage to the rear quarters
I had a spare boot knocking about so decided to stickerbomb it, was finished in matt black.
Here is a few pics of it fitted, gives a better idea how much everything is bent out of shape
Hopefully the back end isnt too out of shape for a repair, the car has been in storage over the winter so yet to get a bodywork specialist to have a look at it. Any thoughts on the damage?
Despite this i still haven't been able to fight the urge to collect bits to fit and to make the old girl go a bit faster. Here is what toys i have.
A Mapped ecu with 320cc injectors to match
New exhaust manifold with De-catted standard cat can
Cone air filter with custom made heat shield
Boost gauge (from a RX7 i think) small and has perfect boost range for cappo
Hitachi HT07-4A turbo
Rsr 30mm lowering springs
OZ Crono wheels
Wheels and boot combo

The rear panel is fairly thin and seems to bend quiet easily so should be able to be pulled back into shape quiet easily too. It does look a lot worse than it is in the pics due to the bootlid not being able to drop down enough. |

I'm sure it can be saved. The wheel well of mine wasn't right when I bought it and I used a bit of wood, the jack and a hammer to get it back into shape. The rear panel was also pulled when I had the restoration done so it's definitely possible |
