The North East of Scotland's main newspaper - the Press and Journal - has a feature once a week on "your car"...  So I sent them an email with a photo of my Cappo and they're coming out next week to interview me, photograph my Cappo and the article should be published week after next !!

Fame at last

Hi everybody!

My name's Ren, I get my very own Cappuccino soon - I can't wait!  I've been waiting to buy a cappuccino since I first saw one in 2001! Had my first test drive 2 weeks ago and I only just fit, but it's worth it, they drive is one of a kind!

Great job on some of the guides etc btw, they are really good (i espceially like the sounds of the Cheap blow off!!)

Well, I'll stop babbling - hope to be able to contribute in the future.

-->Ren

It took me 10 years from first driving a cappo to when I could actually get one - but it was worth the wait - Definitely the best driving ever.

Nope, much more 'scientific'.  The removal of a piece of metal that stops the seat rail sliding all the way forward. See here

Good thinking Scubababe!

I've been trying that one out on the OH since I got mine the other week and she still won't drive it    !

Doesn't help though that her mate sat in it the other day and it took 5 mins to get her out as a#$3 got stuck in the seat!
R O F L M A O !

Sorry, but just couldn't help her as I (well,  we, her OH and I) were too busy laughing!

....And she's not 5' either!

Hello All,

My name is Fred from Sydney Australia and I'm off to Adelaide tomorrow to pick up my 'new' Cappuccino, the test drive back to Sydney should be interesting, only 1390 kms.

This will be our 2nd Cappy, the 1st was bought from the Toy Shop in Sydney back in 1996 after my wife, Anni, saw one in Nagoya on our honeymoon. We sold it in 2001 and have regretted it ever since.

I'm looking to spec this one up for club sport and road rallys, hopefully it will be ready for the Dutton Rally in Melbourne later this year. Photos and details will be posted as and when available.

If there are any Oz owners out there with info on local parts suppliers, handbooks and manuals, etc.. I would very much appreciate your feedback. Reading the forums I gather there are 1 or 2 around Sydney.

Love the forums, great info.

Hi Fredpenny and welcome, Have fun on your drive back home. Yes Cappo's are addictive. If you have a look there is a section where you can chat to other members in Australia and find some useful info on suppliers etc.

I did the melbourne sydney drive a couple of times in the last month, long drive but the 900 odd kilometers took about 10 hours. Take plenty of breaks alog the way!

It was a great drive, 700km a day for 2 days, the new Cappo never missing a beat. The photo is just quick camera phone shot to show 'the wide brown land'.

picked up my first cappo on tuesday and loving it. it is a 1993 silver import in good condition, i try and get some pics up. put it in for mot and it failed for some very small amount of welding needed and backbox. im going to weld a suzuki gsxr exhaust to replace it, has anyone done this?

what is the best way of stopping the car from rusting underneath.

while driving to get new front tires i actuly saw a red cappuccino in dulwich south east london, woman was driving it.
