Looking great. I think the mudflaps help to blend in the arches very nicely. |

Sorry guy's and gal's but our ever faithful Telstra had a major local telephone exchange failure and lost all lines for about 36 hours. (Some techie tripped and ripped all the plugs out) I will try and post pics of the Jap Car show tonight in it's thread. Gotta go and feed the dogs now. |

Really happy with the flares but the bit I have mucked around most with is the black rubber strip between the flares and the body. The reason for this is mainly to form a seal so water wont penetrate. Originally I planned to have a chrome strip but couldn't find anything suitable, then no strip at all like the others but decided to have the black strip. Doh does that make sense?

Yep makes perfect sense to me too and I'd agree that having the strip was the way to go. Gives it a better looking finish in my opinion. |

I think so. Mine have the allen key bolt, stainless steel washer and I made another foan/rubber seal that goes between the flare and the mudguard. |

overkill - I like! I went to the drag strip ages ago against one of my freinds in his SLR5000 with a chev 383 stroker. I had a five second starting advantage but he beat me half-track! |

Fantastic looking Cappu, almost as myne but different color. I think I have the same flares as you have on my one, I did find the fit to be so good so I skiped the sealing and by that i saved weight as I also did by using plastic rivits to fit them to the body. Personaly I dont like the sealing, the flares looks less integrated thats why I dont have it. Any plan for a front Spoiler?!

^ I guess the rubber sealing strip is up to your own personal taste. I like mine. I did have plans to fit a front spoiler but I may not now. I fitted the under engine stainless steel air scoop to make sure I got plenty of airflow for the radiator/motor as the mesh I fitted in the bumper is fairly fine. It get's up to 40 degrees in summer here. The unexpected benifit from the under engine air scoop is it appears like it has increased the "ground effect" dramatically. I will go for a few more drives on roads I know well to double check but it seems to have created a much larger negative pressure under the car and improved the handling. |

I will take a few pic's of the scoop for you half-9 but in the meantime I managed to get my hands on a "Top Rear Strut Brace" (mock roll bar) so here it is with one of the family. PIPI! Oh and my daughter put an Hibiscus flower on the back for the pic. |

On another note young Grant bought this today at a good price from a guy who got it for a Skyline but decided it was all to difficult.
Yep, another Adaptronic powered cappo on the way
The "Little Green Devil" will never fell so good after the transplant |

Also been mucjing around with a 7 inch screen for the Vidigauge. Havent decided where to mount/place it yet as I want to try and conceal it if possible when not in use. Maybe roof mounted or concealed in the dash, dont know yet still playing.

Yep that's the idea Sneaza, perfect. Maybe not quite as elaborate as the ones in the youtube video but one pop up lcd screen like the top one in the video is my idea. (When I get around to it. I have a whole spare dash to play with.) |

Been fairly slack for a while now but I have been doing bit's and pieces to KOF33 like fitting the 295cc injectors, new innovative LC1 wide band O2 sensor fitted a few other odd bits also. No2 son will be driving in December so he has bought a 98 Subaru Firester which I have been playing with as well so out came the in dash DVD head unit from KOF33 and it went into the Forester with a new flip out screen Clarion unit fitted to KOF33. |

Here it is open with the Vidigauge display up. And yes before you ask it does miss the gear stick when it's opening. It just barely touches the top of the knob when in 5th. |

I should have given Sneaza the hole size I needed as they were made for Sony speakers of the same size with a hole of about 130mm but these beast's need 145mm.
Oh Dear dramas.........................no not really.
Pic of a pod masked ready to cut a larger hole with a speaker sitting in another pod to gauge the size. |

If you havent done thuis sort of thing before just use a thick tape like duct tape and cover the whole surface you want to cut, mark it out and cut then remove the duct tape when you are finished. I used a jig saw with no problems. |
