Hi there and welcome

Best advice - check everything metal for signs of rust.  A genuine and honest seller won't mind you lifting the carpets to have a look for rust as they rust from the inside out.  Not the easiest of things to do though...

Hi peeps!

Just bought the car a few days ago (drove it up from Cambridge to Glasgow) and the Cappo is fantastic. It's surprising how quick it can be with so little an engine. Just a weekend / track day car for us (my brother and dad are also gonna drive it) and I've not had so much fun since driving my 1989 Mk1 Mr2.

Once I have more pictures and time with the car I'll do a thread.

Hello. I'm new to the club and to the Cappuccino. I'm in my 50's and live in the Coventry area. I've always like the Cappuccino since it was brought over here and promised myself for many years that I'd get one, as it fits nicely in a single garage. I wasn't actively looking, but one came up just a few miles from me so it seemed like fate. It's a '94 in Cordoba, and seems to have been supplied new by Grenson in Crewe.  A lot of panel work has been done over the last few years and it's pretty sound. It has a current MOT but suspension/subframes/brake are looking tired. It's a project. Clutch bearing is grumbling and there's a small fuel pipe leak.

Perhaps this is the wrong thread, but I have been looking at the net for parts ( perhaps I should have done this before I let my heart rule my head ).  In general, are parts still available from main delears and how do the prices compare with online sellers?

Hi there and welcome!

Most parts are available from Suzuki yes, there are a few things no longer available new but they are few and far between.  It is often cheaper to get the parts sourced in Japan and sent over though...

Dave can help you with getting parts. See his section here.

Thanks Andy. Looking around the car, I think the list of parts is going to  get long.

Hello!

Potential New Cappuccino Owner who needs some help. ive tracked down a 1994 red Cappo showing usual signs of age... One point of concern are the bases to the front suspension strut mounts have corroded 50%.. you can see through to the floor in some areas!

Has anyone ever had a quote to get this work welded? thanks!

Good night everyone!

I recently bought a Cappuccino and can't wait for covid-19 to leave the way to enjoy some coffee with my new UK treasure.
I'm Seb and live in Charleroi (England-Germany in 2000), quite a crazy guy when it comes to my favourite subjects. Thanks to UK to be this goid to legendary cars
Indeed, I'm pretty fond of Japan and cars, Gran Turismo and Initial D helped me a lot and I drove :

An AE86 imported from Japan in 2008
An AE86 bought in Bournemouth in 2009
2 Mr2 Mk1 bought in Belgium in 2017
A Mr2 Mk2 bought in Bournemouth in 2019
A Mazda eunos 92' bought in Bradford in 2019
A Mazda eunos 89' bought in Fenny Compton in 2019
A Mr Spyder bought in Bournemouth in 2019

All if those cars have been sold (deep regret for my first AE86)

And now
I bought A rx7 fc3s of 1988 (serie 4) in 2020
And recently bought a Cappuccino in 2020

Did not realise i forgot to say hello when i joined as a lurker in the past, I am a serial tinkerer when it comes to cars and bikes, I completed a mechanics apprenticeship at the ripe age of 32 after leaving my old job and have spent the last seven years wasting money on ill advised decisions, currently looking for either a Cappuccino or something similar.

nice to meet you all

cheers
