Hopefully both! I actually posted on your youtube video a few months ago, need more info on how you mated the transmission (stock cappuccino transmission?) to the Hayabusa motor.
Still following your build your cappuccino and the ZCars.UK cappuccino inspired me to do mine!

I can't aswer on youtube I don't have account. For the transmission look my last pics on my topic. I use 2 OEM shaft but it's not the better choise. I hope you know how difficult and expensive is this swap, there is many details many that can create problems. But when it's finish...

RHD is road LEGAL in California. I have the money for the swap, and all my parts will be cheaper than most people can get them for,
I see your pictures now, its a lot more clear now, but still a lot of questions. hopefully ZCars can clear some up a bit more, but they used the Hayabusa Transmission, not the cappuccino Transmission

Hi there and welcome

To give any idea of value we would have to see the condition of the car, especially the floor pan under the carpets.

I know it was taken by Lorry for an mot two years ago past with no advisories, it has not been on the road since 2002, it has been started recently, the paint is still bright red , rather than pink

Unfortunately they rust from the inside out so although they can look fine from the outside you can get a nasty surprise when you lift the carpets.

Hello All,

My name is Ken, I've always wanted a cappuccino, except they're really rare and import laws are really strict in Perth, Western Australia.

I finally found one for sale and purchased a 1994 EA11R almost a year ago. I believe I might be the 5th owner of the car, it already has some minor modifications when i bought it. My on-going plan would be to restore and modify it further in the near future.

As I mention before, Cappuccinos are rare and not many people here in Perth knows much about it. I believe there are no better place to source info and knowledge about the car than joining this club!

Thankyou
Ken

Hi All,

Just realised this thread exists - busy posting elsewhere in the forum without introducing myself...

Long time lurker but as yet nothing of value to contribute. I'll do my best to change that in the coming months.

I'm on my second Cappuccino, first one had already succumbed to chassis rot before it even landed in my hands. Four years on and I now have another albeit in much much better condition!

Thanks to everyone who contributes to this forum and to Andy for running it. Without a site like this cars like ours would be long gone (mostly).

Cheers,
Kash.

P.S. I'm based in Scotland where instead of tarmac the roads are paved with salt...

Hi Guys,

My name is Andrew.
I've been registered on this forum since 2009 and last week i was fortunate enough to become an owner of the cappo.
I'm based in Moscow and i believe i have one of two or three cappuccinos around here.

Bought it from member of this forum (hi, Nikolai!). Car is in good condition, just need to do some maintenance before the season starts.

Can you please point me to the user manual for the car?

Hello
I became a Cappuccino owner in February. It's a turquoise green 1996 automatic transmission import, lovely condition after only 47000 miles. Still investigating the issue of the transmission being apparently stuck in 'top', despite being able to select low gear manually.

Hi Helen and welcome

Finding someone with knowledge of an auto Cappo box is going to be hard but an automatic gearbox specialist may be able to check the easy stuff.  One thing I'd always recommend to try first with a dodgy autobox is a change of gearbox oil and filter.  Can always hope the cheap easy fix sorting it before delving deeper

Wynns Automatic Transmission & Power Steering Stop Leak is meant to be great for tired boxes, it rejuves seals / rubbers and can free up gears and make them less notchy after a few thousand miles.

Thanks Kei
I will try that next week when it goes in for MOT. I did try to get some Sea Foam Trans Tune that was recommended, but it seems to be only available in the US and banned from import into the UK.

Hi everybody! Im Fabio, i live in italy and im a fresh owner of a red cappu. It has quite some miles on it but it still wants to go, (especially on roundabouts thanks to the eco tires xD ), the lights have its own mood, and the front turn signal are different (and i actually need to change the wrong one). But apart from that it put me a big smile on my face every time i drive it, and thats good
Thanks for letting me in!

Hi G4soline,

Are you anywhere near Pescara, Abruzzo?
My Cappuccino will be coming to live in the sun when we move there later this year.

I'll be driving it down and intend having a bit of a wander about en route (one of the few joys of a crap sense of direction), the Stelvio Pass and Modena are definitely on the list and I'm open to any suggestions that will make the trip as interesting as possible.

I'd have no problem if this mainly involved pizza.

Perhaps we'll meet somewhere?

Hi I'm Nick from Shropshire and have owned a Cappo for at least 3 years. It is a UK car (red) and since I have had it I've done a fair bit of welding on it and need to do some more! Love it and am looking forward to getting it on the road very soon. It's not the tidiest car as it has been resprayed badly in the past and the paint has gone crazy. (Not etch primed before hand I think) and still the sill to weld up. Looking forward to locating some parts to modify. Hello everyone.

Hello my name's Simon, I live in Carlisle in Northern England and I quite recently bought a 97 Cappuccino in red, it has a stainless steel exhaust, Kenwood CD player and a K & N intercooler. Apart from that it is standard except for a wooden steering wheel and top door bar inserts which I'm looking to replace for maybe red or black.

My dad has found a decent steering wheel whilst cleaning out the garage which is a bit smaller which is what I was looking for but I need a boss and horn adapter of some kind.

Looking at the threads on this site I see most of them are from a long while ago and I know Cappuccinos aren't exactly common but it would be great to share ideas if the site still has a bit of use.

All the best,

Simon.

We're still here

Welcome aboard!  When you say '97 is it an import and that's when it was registered, or is it one of the rare, very late registered UK models?
